Medifony connects to Colombia's interoperable medical records
Send and query the Digital Care Summary (RDA) on the Ministry of Health's IHCE platform, as set out in Resolution 1888 of 2025.
Medifony is now integrated with the Electronic Health Record Interoperability platform (IHCE) of Colombia’s Ministry of Health and Social Protection, which makes a patient’s clinical information available to the institutions that treat them. The integration uses the international HL7 FHIR standard and the Digital Care Summary (RDA) adopted by Resolution 1888 of 2025.
What you can do
- Send the RDA for every consultation with diagnoses, medications, allergies, orders, sick leave and supporting documents, plus the history reported by the patient.
- Look up the patient’s records at other institutions: clinical encounters and documents within a date range, with a PDF viewer, and their vaccination record (vaccine, dose, lot and date).
- Book appointments faster: enter the ID type and number and the system retrieves the patient’s name from the IHCE.
- Never lose a submission: the Pending IHCE alert lets you retry anything that didn’t go through.
- See it all in one place: allergies, medications, risk factors and family history in the new Interoperability tab of the medical record.
- Interoperability with EPS SURA as well.
